Training.
Whether you intend to work in the business, spending your time hands-on within your coffee shop(s), or on the business, overseeing operations and employing a manager in each outlet, we have designed a comprehensive and exhaustive training programme which will give you the best possible start in your new business. We plan to give you all the tools, skills, and confidence you need to get off to a flying start.
Your training will begin with a 15 day programme at head office (pictured below) which will be a mix of classroom-based learning and time spent in our mock-up coffee shop, roastery and tasting room.
Induction Training will include:
Corporate introduction, Vision and USPs
Basic 92 Degrees operations inc. Point, Runner and Bar positions
Team structure and effective recruitment
Sales and marketing
92 Degrees customer service
92 Degrees standards
Being a franchisee – what is expected and good habits
Finance/ P+L management
Operating a business and planning for the future
During this time, we will also be very keen to share with you some of our love of coffee, how it is produced and how it tastes.
You’ll really learn all about flavours and roasting, and will discover how to pick out the distinctive tones and character of each blend.
After all, if you’re going to sell it, you’ve got to believe in it!
Practical training.
Once you’ve completed the basic standards training and understand the behind the scenes nuts and bolts of your new franchise, you – and your store manager, if you’re hiring one – will then attend a 10 day on-the-job training programme in an existing outlet. Here, you will get a more in-depth understanding of how a 92 Degrees coffee shop runs on a day-to-day basis, and exactly why it is so loved by its local customers.
There will be a test at the end of it, but don’t worry – this won’t be an exam situation – just a way for us to make sure we’ve done absolutely everything we can to help you succeed!
